link to cover photo

Using photographs, artwork and text this book tells the story of how the English punk scene developed during the mid 1970s and eventually carried on to influence the grunge movement some twenty years later. The Dolls place in this story is noted as is the influence Johnny and The Heartbreakers. Most of the emphasis is on the U.K. bands but several U.S. musicians such as Television, Iggy Pop, Wayne County and The Ramones are included. Overall it's a good history of how punk U.K. style developed.

There are several photos of the Dolls and Johnny including this one.
